Hello all, Earlier today. I downloaded HWMONITOR, I saw that my CPU Fan was spinning at 1700RPM When I wasn't doing anything (idling), and nearly 2000RPM Whilst browsing the web and watching youtube etc... my friend has an i7-960 the same as mine, and his CPU Fan was spinning at 1500RPM while gaming! I am a bit worried and don't know whether I should re apply thermal paste, please help!

PS. Me and my friend both have the Intel stock cooler. And before you ask, the CPU fan is more than clean. No dust at all.

Thanks, Ben :) :) :)

Go to your bios and set the fan to PWM mode and than adjust what temp will the fan kick in high speed.
