Xfinity wifi goes to "Limited" several times a day!

Hi all,
Every day the wifi will drop (go to limited) from 8-15 times a day and it gets very frustrating when it interrupts anything I'm working on. Anyway, is there anything I can do myself that doesn't require a technician (because it costs $80 or an extra $5 on the monthly bill). I have already gotten another modem and have moved the modem into another room. So, anything else I can do? Any ideas at all are appreciated!

Have you checked your dns server settings? If not, try setting your dns on your WiFi card to these DNS servers.

8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

If I'm not mistaken, those are Google's DNS servers. Try that and see if that helps.
Also is your modem and wifi all built into one box? Sometimes those boxes where the modem and wifi router are one unit are flaky. If you have one of those, you might turn off the wifi, and try getting your own wifi router and set that up and see if it helps.
