HI, im wondering if the gt1030 supports legacy bios. I saw Randomgaminginhd's video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ctfvq9QGTI) where he puts a palit gt1030 into the exact computer I have but I did some research online and some threads say that the gt1030 doesn't support legacy bios. I dont want to buy the card if it doesn't work with my pc.

Solution
It depends on the maker of the card whether it's UEFI or Legacy. I know in the GTX750 MSI made UEFI cards, and PNY made Legacy cards. Legacy cards can run on UEFI but UEFI won't run on Legacy. Unfortunately nobody seems to put this in the specifications of the cards. You might check with Dell Community Forum and see if the latest 755 BIOS is UEFI. Unless your already running Legacy Mode for some other devices. definitely get the latest BIOS from dell first.
I see people running GTX1050s in Opti 755s here. i don't see why 1030 would be a problem.

FWIW the gTX750 is faster then the 1030, the 1050 is much faster than that.

MERGED QUESTION
Question from II Pc User II : "GT1030 and optiplex 755"

Then the question to answer would be did Dell's motherboard OEM cut the power draw to that PCIe slot to 25W, or did they just label it 25W max with the original power supply and it's still capable of the ATX standard maximum of 75W? I would get on Dell's tech support forums and ask before risking anything.
