what is the best cpu for a gtx 1060 sc

i have a amd - GA760G -78LMT-S2 and a gtx 1050 ti with a amd fx 4300 and i want to upgrade to a gtx 1060 sc but i don't know what cpu to get with my motherboard,

anyone knows a decent gaming cpu that can handle the gtx 1060 sc that can also work with my motherboard?

any answer would be very appreciated.

    That motherboard will have a difficult time handling a more power hungy processor such as an FX-8300. It wouldn't be much of an upgrade for gaming anyway since more cores doesn't increase single threaded performance.

    Also, going from 1050ti to a 1060 is too small of an upgrade to bother with.

    Instead of wasting your money, start saving for a whole new platform (cpu+mobo+ram).
  2. I have to agree with damric...the whole system is dated and adding a 1060 wont make a huge difference. If you simply have to stay with the current system then look at overclocking the CPU to gain performance vs money on upgrades. Saving to move to a cheap AM4 build would be a better use of your cash vs trying to squeeze more out of the system you have.

    what about a amd fx 8370E?
  4. FX8370E will help if you do a lot of encoding and decoding. It isn't going to help with regular gaming though.
