Normally when i have a problem I just try to find an answer for someone else that had the same problem. If I'm desperate I post. Neither worked this time. Is there a log of Windows actions so i can see what my computer is doing wrong?

Solution

I doubt it is a Windows 10 issue. Probably a hardware issue.

The first thing I'd do is run MEMTEST86 for a full pass. www.memtest86.com

In SLEEP MODE your pagefile is copied to System Memory (i.e. DDR3/4) which is then kept supplied with power. If there is an issue with the memory you may have problems coming out of SLEEP.

It could be another issue but we should start there.

thanks! I built a new computer about 10 days ago. The first 5 days were fine but now it doesnt restart. It shuts down fine but when i click restart the video signal dies and the computer stays on. I have changed all the power options so the computer never enters sleep mode. I'm about to go crawling back to windows 7
