After formatting external HDD it works fine but after few hours working windows stops detecting HDD and says it needs to be formatted, after formatting again it works for few hours and so on. what is the reason?
btw after windows cannot detect it , the HDD is not recognized on other PCs either. and this problem only occurs on this specific HDD.

Solution
Something is likely physically failing, whether it be your USB cable, the power supply, the PCB, the heads, the firmware or the surface itself. As there is no data of value on the drive, it really isn't worth trying to diagnose it. If you can, send it back to Western Digital for an RMA warranty or just buy a new replacement drive.
