My modem is a 5268AC, and I have it configured in DMZplus towards my R9000 Router. My router has received my public ip from the modem so it appears the hand off is setup correctly. I can setup port forwarding on NON Windows 10 machines but not on any of my Windows 10 pc's. I can connect with remote desktop all day within my network. I have set new rules under firewall for incoming and outgoing, disabled the firewall.... I am running out of ideas.

I check my ports with command prompt netstat, and canyouseeme

What started this is I am running an Unraid server and created a Windows 10 VM and I want to connect to it remotely and found out I cannot get the ports opened for any of my windows 10 machines, virtual or real. I have opened ports for my plex server, sonarr, radarr etc. all on my unraid system and it was opened easy. Just when I try to point an open port to a windows 10 pc it never shows open.

Let me know if anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated, and let me know if I need to give more info my brain is fried.

On windows 10 machines, is it showing as a Public or Private network? Needs to be Private.

Do you have port 3839 open for RDP?

In general though, I highly discourage anyone from using RDP for WAN remote desktop. Something like teamviewer is far more secure, or even better your own configured VNC. Or setting up VPN server on your router and then connecting to that instead would also be much more secure.
