So..I purchased the following..

H170 Pro Gaming MB
i7 6700k 4ghz CPU
Heatsink..(I cant remember the brand but was a good one for $90.00)
Evga Gtx 1060 SSC GPU
1 250gb Samsung SSD
1 1tb Samsung SSD
2x 8gb Ripjaw VSeries 3k Ram
Corsair 750w psu
All in a Corsair 450d Case

.. I realized how badly Im bottlenecking with that motherboard..

From my understanding.. The unlocked processor is being bottlenecked because I cant overclock?

At the same time.. The the Ram is bottlenecked down to 2133? Its 3xxx Ram..but the motherboard wont allow more?

Okok.. So I have everythinf installed on this computer..including registered copy of windows 10 etc etc..

Newegg has a 50$ rebate on one of their z170s.. I used my pc for games..movies and emulating games as well..is it worth selling the h170 pro and going to a z170? Considering I do emulation and games. Would .5 ghz be worth all the trouble? (Would have to purchase another key for windows 10 as well.

If yes..what motherboard should I try to get that will "Unlock" this computers potential?

You'd want to reinstall Windows as that's a pretty big chipset change, as long as Windows is registered to your account it'll move to the new board for free. If you feel the need to oc or run your ram at the right speeds then you can only get a z170 board to fix your issue.
