Internet dropping every 5 minutes, losing my ADSL connection (please read)

Hello everyone.

This is my first post on the forum and i've used Tom'sHardware before for other issues, but this time i haven't been able to find anything regarding my own problem and it's been driving me nuts for over a month now.

Here's what's happening:

I'm from Venezuela. My current connection is 10mbps. I've had this internet speed since January-February 2017.

Two months ago my modem started dropping the ADSL connection every 5 or so minutes. And while the modem does reconnect after a while, internet connection does NOT come back until after i restart the modem manually if this drop happens.

I've found a way to momentarily fix my issue but it's not optimal: I'm applying an ADSL filter to my modem and with this, throttling the internet speed. My download speed goes down to 215kbps tops (down from 1mbps) and my connection is way more stable, although it still drops momentarily from time to time and again, internet doesnt come back until i restart the modem manually if this happens.

Today i went to the mall and bought a brand new modem thinking that maybe the modem was faulty or maybe it got permanently damaged due to a power outage. However, i ended up just wasting my money because the problem persisted.

So far i've tried 3 different outlets, 3 different adsl port connectors, 4 different ADSL cables, and two modems. However, my internet still drops every 10 to 5 minutes unless i throttle the internet speed.

Edit: i should also clarify that i'm using a router but i've also made a direct connection from the modem to my PC to rule out the router being faulty and the problem still persists. So i'm sure it's not the router either.

I've also changed my DNS address, IP Renew through CMD, and other stuff...but the problem still persists.

I cannot understand how does the internet speed has an effect on my connection dropping, and i'm starting to think that it's probably faulty wiring and that it's the ISPs fault?

I tried calling them because of this issue before. I just got instructed to turn off my modem and turn it back on - then they told me they'd send a technician to my place but no one came and that was a month ago. I've been trying to call recently but haven't been able to get into contact with someone competent or in contact with anyone at all. (third world ISPs are a pain to deal with).

So my question is: What could possibly be the cause of my issue? Should i ask my ISP to entirely restart my connection? What can be done about this?

I tried explaining my issue the best i could but English is clearly not my first language, so if any extra explanations or clarification are needed, please let me know!

Thanks in advance.

Your assumption of bad wiring/something on ISP end is likely correct.
I would suspect there is some large scale interference on your lines. Do you have any landline phones plugged into the phone jacks in the house?

Unfortunately dealing with 1st world ISPs is not any better, just lookup "comcast internet service".

If it is not interference by your phones on the lines then it is an issue they need to fix.
Is there any other ISP even as an option to you?

Also, your English is far more understandable than many who actually live in the USA.

I do. Would you suggest unplugging the phone and try navigating the internet to see if the issue persists?

Sadly, no. There is only one other alternative but it is way more expensive and the service is even worse, so i'll have to stick to my current ISP. :-(

Haha! Thank you for the compliment. And thank you for taking the time to replying to this thread as well.

Sadly, the problem stil persists even when i unplug the phone from the ADSL. Connection drops every 5 to 10 minutes.
