Hi.
I wanted to buy Nvidia GTX 1050 for my PC which has MSI K9N Neo 7369 v3 motherboard. I'm just not sure about the PCIe version of my motherboard. Can it work?

Solution
Yes. Your GT 240 was actually the weak link even with the old slow Athlon 64 dual core. And the GTX 970 in HamBown81's video link is crippled by the CPU. So your CPU should be fine with the GTX 1050... or even the 1050 Ti. Any bottleneck will be acceptable.

PCI Express is backward compatible. That board should support the GTX 1050/1050 Ti. Some old boards do have trouble interfacing with modern cards, but I don't think you'll have any trouble. Until recently, I had a AM2/AM2+ board that ran with every modern card I tried.

Not the GTX 1050. And not enough to be concerned if you're running a slow CPU.
At 2.5 GT/s, you will probably be limited mostly by the CPU keeping up.

I'm just not sure that it's gonna work and I can run some old games which I couldn't run just because of my graphic card :( (DirecX 11 and more bandwidth required...)

so you mean because of my whole weak system, GPU's loosing of performance can be ignored?
I think GTX 1050 is so high in compare with my other system's specifications :D
