I can only monitor the rpm of my Chassis Fans.

Hello.
I got a new pc case and it has two 3pin case fans. My motherboard (Asus P8H61-M LE R2.0) got only one 3-pin Chassis Fan Connector so I bought a fan splitter and connected everything. It works, but I only can monitor the RPM of the fans in the BIOS and in AI Suite 2, but I can do nothing else. There isn't even an option to control something with the fans. On the Asus Site of the Motherboard, it says, that it supports Fan Xpert and that you can change the cpu and case fans, but I can only change the cpu fan.

So, what should I do?

Not much you can do on that board. With only a single 3-pin header to work with, splitting it to the two fans is the best, and only, option.

You can try alternate fan control software, such as SpeedFan and see if that will give you control.

Does the Chassis fan show up in the BIOS "Monitoring" tab? Does it have Q-fan options?

Back when that board was new was right about the time the motherboard vendors finally figured out that ppl wanted control of the case fans, many of those old cases were AT style, and didn't even include a front fan, just a cpu and exhaust. This has changed somewhat since then, cases usually having both intake and exhausts and motherboards having more than 1 system fan header. But as is, that board doesn't support much, it's a mATX so is going to be missing things like fan headers, found on the ATX boards.

You can cut back on rpm with use of a LNA or ULNA (low noise adapter, ultra) which just plugs in between the fan and splitter, or get a fan controller of some sort for manual / auto control.

The Z68 and H77/Z77 boards have full fan controls.
