Hello, I have a medium end unbranded generic power supply and it seems has two 12V rails and only one 6 Pin PCI-E connector.

Specifications:

This power supply is extremely rare and might be crappy. I will buy a new power supply soon, so this will be used as temporary for just lightweight gaming.

I like to know what will happen when I start GTX 660 GPU with this power supply and will something wrong can happen? Will the card get damaged?

Motherboard is Gigabyte GA-G41M-Combo, CPU is Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650, 4GB DDR3 RAM.

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't trust the psu but it could work since all the amps aren't completly out of line.

I tried booting with this graphics card installed and got no display. But when I used onboard graphics also with this card in the PCI-E slot, system booted slower than before.

I cannot understand why I am getting no any displays.

Removed the GTX660, set BIOS display to always look at PCIE slot first, shutdown and put the GTX660 back in.

If it works, you get a display and the onboard VGA is disabled.

The initial Windows startup will be slower as it it looking at new hardware configuration, install drivers.

I tried it, still not working. Maybe a PSU problem? card isn't getting enough power? I also checked the card before buying and it worked fine. :(

Please help, this not gives me any display still with onboard GPU disabled. But windows boots and startup sound plays. Keyboard and mouse gets power. No any display but gpu fans are running normally. Can there be a system incompatibility or insufficient power problem?
