Hello,
I'm helping my cousin with his old Toshiba laptop. After they moved to a new place, it keeps disconnecting from their Wi-Fi. It worked without issues before they moved and they kept the same router with same settings and nothing changed on the laptop either. However the internet keeps timing out all the time now.
Meanwhile any other device connected to the router works without any issue, as does the laptop when connected to other wi-fi networks (the laptop doesn't have an ethernet plug and I don't have an external one available to try connection to this router via cable).
He asked me to reinstall Windows 10 before I knew what was the exact issue but that hasn't helped, neither has reinstalling various versions of drivers. I haven't performed a clean Windows installation yet tho.
Any idea what might be an issue here and how to fix it?
I thought it might be an issue with wifi channels as I've had a similar problem few years back on my PC but I never managed to fix it. If it is this problem indeed, can anyone please link a decent guide to some networking software?
Thank you.
