Okay, So I've been thinking for a while now, what would you really not be getting in this build that an ATX platform would provide?

I have an older Z77 itx board and it fits a Cryorig H7 on it just fine, even has room to fit dual fans if i want to.

Mine was so tight that I mounted it with power supply and GPU ripped out, was no space for fingers. It was something with 140mm fan.

Luckily the GPU is spaced away from the CPU in this case, pun intended.

I'm thinking of either running the stock cooler since it's supposed to be pretty damn good but if it isn't then I'll look at some LP coolers (low profile).

Otherwise I don't really plan on heavily overclocking, maybe a slight overclock just but nothing insane.

I know it's marketed towards mac and stuff but I think it'd work within the build.

Sata/ PCIE ports are fine, I never wanted to SLI anyway. Otherwise though the devices I use are;
Keyboard/mouse
DAC/AMP
Webcam
XBOX Controller
USB WD passport for video recording and stuff.
Microphone input
Might have a second audio out as my DAC goes into a mixer afterwards.

Only thing is I'm trying to perfect my audio set up which I'm VERY close to but not quite there.

At current I have an ASUS essence one DAC and an MXL 770 mic both plugged into a Behringer X802 mixer (non USB) but it feels lacking and I can't tell why; Headphones: Monoprice M560 - Closed back mode. - Another thread anyway.


So basically providing I buy a USB hub I should really be fine?

I like the looks of the NZXT manta much better.
Of course, looks is a personal thing, and looks DO count.

Past that, the manta allows for two front 140mm intakes which will keep anything cool and be quieter while doing it.
The front intakes are filtered so if all your intake air comes from them, your parts will stay cleaner.

The case allows for a 160mm tall air cooler that will be sufficient.
Your cpu is a 65w TDP processor; more with overclocking.
This TDP guidelines chart from noctua can help find the cooler you need.

Weirdly enough the quietest PC I've had is also the smallest, the AlienwareX51 a looooong time ago. - Don't murder me, I know it's a sin.

Thing is, as said the look of the Portal really appeals to me, especially being a portal fanboy. I wonder if they had to pay Valve some form of royalty?

But it shouldn't really effect it that much if I went for it right?

Thing is, with the portal the only part of the PC visible is the Graphics card so colour matching and stuff isn't really an issue. it's super small so I can actually fit another monitor on my desk and with the USB hub it should actually improve the cleanliness of the desk. I guess the real thing to ask though is, using a USB hub. will it cause input lag?
