Hello everyone,
Recently I got a new pc and now I realise that I should've got another cpu, this one is going to drive me crazy...

my build is :
Amd APU A10-7860k with stock cooler
asus a88Xm A
8 Gb 1666 Ram
Thermaletake 450W
Amd Rx 550 4Gb Oc sapphire pulse
2 thermaltake case fans 120mm

Any game I put on freezes after some time, it may be 5 min or two hours, ANY game, even world of warcraft burning crusade or hearthstone, it freezes, the screen goes black and either the game crashes or I go to desktop and have to tab to the game again to get even more freezes, league of legends causes the game to freeze+ BSOD sometimes
I also used to get random BSOD even when doing nothing with the message : kernel power but it stopped after flashing the bios, but the freezing probleme persists and sometimes even when not gaming ( on youtube for example )

any solutions please ?

Yes. I would definitely say it's overheating. So that is the first thing to look at. If you can get the cpu cooler with a better cooler, that will probably stop it from shutting off. But right now, you might risk damaging the cpu if you keep letting it get that hot.

First verify in the BIOS that the video card is the default and that the onboard video is disabled. Second verify that all drivers are current (no beta drivers), not just the motherboards. Also check your fans to make sure they are working properly both by simply spinning as well as showing up in BIOS. If you have a spare power supply I would put that in and see what happens because it sounds like something is getting power starved once your system heats up.

If you can return everything and get a way better pc for the money since you got a terrible combination of parts.

thank you for you answers, I can't return it, I was stupid enough to buy it from a random guy and not a store to get it a bit cheaper...

Gotta deal with this problem now :/

I will try to see in the bios if the Rx gpu is enabled, the fans won't start spinning until I'm in game, I guess it's the new gpu's way of saving power ?

I also thought about PSU but I don't have a spare one, would it be a heating problem ?

Ok. 85 is not good on that cpu. If google is correct, max you want to hit on that cpu is 74, give or take. You probably should start by pulling the fan off the cpu, and applying new thermal paste. You may also wish to get a better cpu cooler.

A lot of guys like the Cyrorig H7.

I haven't used that one, but I do like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo.

Either one of those should drastically drop temps.

Thats is 10°c over what the a10 can actually handle without damaging or thermal shutdown/halt.

But am I looking at the right temperature ? Jaslion said that it's 10° higher than the shut down temp, then I might be looking at the wrong temp no ?

I see temperature : CPU
Mainboard

then a little bit down I see Temperatures :
Packages

which one is the right one ? also I think you are right I will stop trying games until I get a new cpu fan
