Hello. I haven't built a system in more than a few years. Adding to this, this is my first AMD build- Ryzen 1800x and my first Asrock (it was highly recommended by Microcenter employee. I was thinking of getting the Asus ROG MB but he showed me the bricked one as the in-store demo, and was also saying many were returned due to it not working properly, and he seemed knowledgeable. The ROG was more expensive so I figure if he was full of you know what, he'd try to sell me a more expensive board than the tachi. He and his co-worker said they both have the MB and showed me pictures on their phone (yeah, I didn't even ask lol) That's why I love the Microcenter by me.

*I have my old system for loading the BIOS update onto a thumb drive and anything else I need)*

I was reading the manual and things seem to have changed a lot since I last built a computer. What would be the correct sequence when turning on your newly built system:

*Should I leave my Ethernet connection out of the new build until all drivers are in?*

1- BIOS- Update BIOS (should have BIOS update on a USB thumb drive already) Or I hear you can update the BIOS over the network? I do have an Ethernet connection.
2- Does ACHI mode matter if I'm only using a NVMe drive? Any changes I should make?
3-After Bios update, hopefully is successful, system will reboot and the new BIOS version should show up.
4- Check to see RAM is correct ( I have the ddr4-3200 GSKILL FLARE X),
5- exit BIOS (if no changes- no need to save)
6- Have thumb drive with Windows 10 connected
7 Install Windows 10.
8- From here on it gets fuzzy. Should I install Geforce Drivers (including Geforce Experience)
9- AMD Chipset Drivers?
10. Install Intel Gigabit LAN drivers or would my system already recognize I'm plugged in the Ethernet

Should I use anything from the provided disc AsROck included? What should I have on my USB thumb stick before I turn on the new system?

Basically my system is:
Ryzen 1800x
Asrock x370 Tachi MB
Corsair 760t Full tower
Corsair Hydro 115i CPU heatsink (got the AM4 kit)
Corsair HX1000i PSU
Samsung 960 1TB NVMe for Windows and Games (I don't uninstall things and it's strictly a gaming machine)
GSKILL FLARE X ddr4-3200 16GB (8x2GB kit) CL14
Asus ROG 1080ti OC Strix edition
Sound- using onboard
Monitor: Asus ROG 27" Gsync IPS

PLease insert any number to break my sequence or even delete my numbers and offer what I should do instead. I would much appreciate it.

looks good, though I've seen windows installs fail (more so on win8 then 10, but depending on the version of 10 it can happen) if you don't have your pc connected to the internet.

-Windows 10 comes with most drivers, so I wouldn't worry too much about "lan" drivers. I just did a Ryzen system on an Asrock mb for my boss, and the Win10 disk had all the right drivers for both the LAN and WLAN. So there was no issue connecting to the internet.
