Here are my specs:
I5-4690k
asus z97-a 3.1 USB mobo
GTX 970
16gb 2400mhz RAM
500gb 850 ssd (boot and storage)
1tb WB HDD
500r corsair case
650 watt gold seagate powersupply
(incase i forgot anything: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/tjFdnQ)
1 240mm(i think) fan pushing in from side (big fan, intake)
2 120mm(i think) fans pushing in from front (small fan, intake)
2 120mm(i think) fans pulling out from top (small fan, exhaust)
1 120mm(i think) fan pulling out from back (small fan, exhaust)
I would like to do minimal overclocking. Maybe 4.2 ghz or so. I am extremely new to overclocking and have never done so. I am still using a stock cooler, and I know I need an aftermarket of some kind. I want to get a water cooler. I don't want to spend a lot of money, but I want one that will last for quite a while, and if I decide to overclock a little higher, I want it to be good for that as well.
If someone could explain to me in the simplest way how to overclock and what to look out for, and what not. Or simply posting a guide for noobs like me.
But mainly I need to know what cooler to buy, so I can get into this. I want to keep my temps super low.
