Okay, let me start this off by saying that I'm not very computer savvy. I had a computer built for me by xidax and I'll post the specs below. I've been experiencing an issue when closing games, or minimizing them, and occasionally as they are running. My monitor will go grey, or black and then grey. I see and error that says the monitor has lost connection to its source. I've used DDU to clean and reinstall my drivers and that did not fix the issue. I ran MSI afterburner and found that one of my two GeForce 1080 ti's was running at 99% and the other at 1-2%. I turned off SLI and ran off the one at 2% and it went to 100% so I believe the card itself is fine.

Specs:
MSI Z270 XPOWER TITANIUM -
Processor Intel® Quad Core™ i7-7700K Processor Overclocked - Quad Core w/Hyper Threading 4.4GHz-4.7GHz Turbo

Memory Xidax Extreme DDR4 2666MHz Memory- 16GB -

Power Supply Corsair RM1000X

Graphics Card x2 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti GPU W/HBB Bridge -
GPU OC Overclocked Graphics Card - 2 Cards - Get an additional 10-20% in performance. Experienced Xidax technicians will overclock your graphics card to its most optimal settings.

Sound Cards Creative Sound Blaster Z 5.1 Channels 24-bit PCI Express Sound Card -

HDD/SSD Seagate Barracuda 1TB - 7200RPM 3.5" HDD - SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache

2nd HDD Samsung 850 Pro 256GB SSD - 550MB/s Read, 520MB/s Write

Any feedback would be appreciated. Destiny 2 won't run for more than a few minutes without going grey.

Solution
Try this, under 3D global settings choose 'Single display performance mode' under 'Multi-display/Mixed-GPU acceleration. Also, make sure you choose the 'Prefer maximum performance' option under 'Power Management Mode.

Okay so I bumped my fan speed up and that solved the grey screen issue. Thank you for the help. The gpu bottleneck issue is still happening tho. Any suggestions
