Unless you want to see how fast you can turn your 1060 into a torched paperweight then yes you need a much better PSU.
M12 or S12 Seasonic like Jankerson suggesited is a good choice, new CX550/500m would also be good (make sure it is new generation with all silver letters, the older generation with green+silver letters is not good).

Love that torched paperweight comment. :D

Personally I will never understand why people buy lets say questionable (being nice) PSU's.

There are good solid units around for all not that much money if they don't want to spend a lot. EX: units like the M12 or S12, they are a steal at current prices. They used to cost a lot more when the models were new.

Glad you liked the comment.

People buy the cheap ones because they are cheap, they just see that it is $20 cheaper today, not how much more expensive it will be tomorrow.
Same reason why people buy the $250 black-friday special laptops....that last until the next black-friday.

Yeah buy junk that fries your whole machine, brilliant logic. LOL

Still running 2x M12's here, one is 7+ YO old and the other 4+ YO and neither was even near the price they are today.

Both were in the $100 range when I got them when the models were newer, they are a steal today at current pricing.

Running an X-Series now in my main system. :)

Seasonic Prime series does look nice though.
