I'm looking to buy a new white coloured ATX motherboard but nearly all of the boards I have viewed say "Crossfire" which I know is AMD cards but I have a 1060 so will that still work in the board?

Solution
The 1060 will still work with the board no problem.
The "Crossfire" branding simply states that you can enable AMD crossfire on the board (AMD equivalent of SLI). This is listed because Xfire can be used on a motherboard with an x16 lane, and an x4 lane, where SLI has to have x8 minimum.

Its simply listed as a marking term.
