Hello, I have read some of the other R9-290 threads and tried most, updating bios, deleted all AMD folders, reinstalled after.
problem:
Had 2 R9-290's in crossfire for past 3years or so works fine have a OCZ 850PSU gold (6yrs-7yrs old)
one day went to load up Total war warhammer, and heard a loud blowing then a blue screen, with a data dump. (forget the msg)
Trouble shoot via changing pci slots (still trying to run 2 in crossfire) was fine till any game called for more gpu, then it would crash. Tested card by its self will boot, up but anything that requires gpu load black screen. Not the blue dump screen.
So my other R9 works fine by its self in ether pci slot.... Not sure how to figure out what is wrong with the bad card. really need the extra frams
