Extremely loud case fans

I got 5 new Cooler Master Jetflo fans installed in my pc yesterday which is all well and good but the thing sounds like a jet engine when it's running now. I tried installing speedfan to check what rpm they were running at to maybe turn them down, but they aren't even getting detected by it. I know there were only 2 connectors on my mobo (Asus Prime B250M-A) so not sure if the guy split the connection on plugged directly into psu... Thoughts/ideas?

Solution
Would not be surprised at all if they are plugged straight into the PSU which would cause the fans to be running at 100% all the time and not show up on speedfan (that only works with the fan headers on the motherboard).

You might want to invest in a fan controller since your motherboard doesn't have enough fan headers to support all your fans.

At work at the moment but will definitely check this when I get home. Thanks for the idea!

These are PWM fans so, if they are installed and configured correctly, things should be pretty darn quiet when your machine is idling.

I have three fans connected to a single header on my motherboard (using a splitter), and I have customized the fan curve in the bios. It's awesome. I will never buy a non-PWM fan again.

You need to crack your case open and figure out what they did. And use someone else in the future.

Are fan controllers reasonably easy to install? I'm just not too keen on doing things myself if it requires removing a lot from the case to do so haha. I assume follow the fan connections and see where they're connected to, unplug and plug into fan controller? Appreciate the help

The JetFlo fans also "Includes two silent mode adapters to fix the fan speed at 1600 RPM (28 dBA) or 1200 RPM (19 dBA)". I don't know if that takes the form of a switch on the fans themselves? or an additional part that your "guy" included in a bag of goodies. So even if you're not running them from the motherboard and getting the benefit of PWM, you could slow them down a little.
