Hi. I own currently this setup

Fx 8120 4.0ghZ turboboost (Noctua NH U12P SE2 ) cooler.
GIGABYTE 78LMT-USB3 Socket AM3+
16 Gb Elixir DDR3 ram
Zotac GTX 560 2gb.

I wan't to upgrade some things and i don't know what to do ( i got something around 200 euros for that ). I want to get a zotac gtx 1050 2gb and an used fx 8350 to complete this setup but Im also considering selling my CPU and mainboard, and for this money get a used Intel Pentium G4560 or I5 2500k + mainboard. I want to know what should i buy to maximize my gaming experiance with investing not so much money.

Solution
If the 8120 is overclocked it should be ok. Then start saving up for new cpu aboard and ram. My 7950 ran good with my fx 6300 which should have been about the same level as your 8120.

And as I said from everything I've read, the 7950 and 1050ti have similar performance so I think it will be a good pair.
FX8350 will buy you nothing.
This comparison includes G4560, I5-2500L and FX-8370.

If you play fast action games, upgrade the graphics card.

If you play cpu intensive games like sims, strategy or mmo, then look to a modern cpu like ryzen on intel 7th gen.

Yes, GPU I'd say. The 8350 won't get you a ton more than you have in the CPU department and that GPU is definitely weak. In fact, with some luck, you should be able to get that 8120 close to 4.5GHz which will significantly improve it's performance.

I would say NOT a used 950 or 960. If you are going for a new GPU I'd recommend a 1060 for gaming. It's gonna hurt a bit more up front but it will last you longer and you can take it with you to your next system.

RX 560 2gb is costs over 100 euros in my country and i heard 1050 is much more powerful. Others say a used 960 2gb is a better option than getting a 1050 so i don't really know what to do xD . I can't spent so much for 1060. The thing is I can spent max 110-120 euro for a graphic card and i want to choose best at this price.

Yes, up from that:

  • ■ RX 580 8GB and GTX 1060 6GB are essentially on par
    ■ RX Vega 56 and GTX 1070 are comparable
    ■ RX Vega 64 and GTX 1080 are comparable

The RX Vega cards are still getting fleshed-out so they are not 100% of the way there, and are also not primarily focused on gaming, but these are a good "guideline"

If you are gaming on a budget, here's where I'd be.

That should perform about the same as a Radeon 7950 from a few years back. I currently run a 7950 in my system until I can upgrade later. But when I used it with my older FX 6300 system that I just retired, it did decently, I could run most things on medium-high settings at 1080p if I turned down AA settings etc. So I think the 1050ti would balance well in your system.

1 more question. Is it not a deal to get 750ti and not 1050 ti ?I heard it would be a deal for 80-90 euros. Or its just better to upgrade PC with new stuff.

You can, but you are talking about every level cards already, so there 750ti will show it's age sooner than the 1050ti.

If you do want more of a middle ground, I'd suggest the gtx 1050. But the extra vram on the ti will start showing as games get more advanced and you'll have to turn settings down sooner to get good fps with the 750ti or 1050 non ti.

I can tell you that the EVGA Classified 560Ti 448 core that is rocking in my old machine, with a Phenom II x4 965 is definitely showing its age!

The system will still run modern games but at Low to Medium settings and often at reduced resolution.

EDIT: For example, to get playable FPS in NieR Automata it is on the Medium preset at 720p. It does fine in GTA V at 1080p and in DOOM too, so depends on the game

Bottom-line, you should get the best thing you can afford. It will last you longer and will be more usable throughout its life.
