2.0 cable to 3.0 port on pc

Is there a converter for a USB 2.0 cable to connect to a 3.0 connection on the pc? Printer has 2.0 cable. New computer has 3.0 USB port. How can I connect them?

If you are talking about the case's ports on the outside of the PC (type A), USB3.0 is backward compatible with USB2.0. No adapter needed unless the cable has is a mini connector.
