Hello - long time user first time poster!
I'm building a new PC and I want to move my current storage into the new PC. I have:
1x SSD (few games and programs on there)
2x HDD (acts as 1 lump of storage somehow, has my windows OS)
When I move over to new PC, I'd like to do 2 things -
1) Bring all my hard drives over and keep files, photos, music, programs etc etc,
2) Move my OS from the HDD onto the SSD to run better.
My question is - what is the best way to do this that lets me keep everything? I've been looking around and there's a few different answers. Will everything need reformatting in the new PC? My current thinking is..
1 - Create windows installation USB
2 - put SSD into new PC build
3 - install windows onto SSD
4 - put HDD into new PC build
5 - remove windows partition from HDD
Will that process let me move the OS to SSD, solve any new hardware issues, AND let me keep everything on the HDD? (The stuff on the SSD I can just move to HDD prior to this)
Sorry for long post any and all help appreciated
