large temporary file folder? safe to delete?

i was going through settings and i noticed that on on my 240gb ssd 141gb were "temporary files" and i figured this is way too large for temp files. its giving me the option to clear it. is it safe to do? should i backup before hand?

Temp folder...yeah its fine to dump it. If you back it up, which I see no reason to, you'll still end up using that same 141GBs just in a back up folder. Just dump it and be done with it and get some space freed up.

If you are really worried. look at the files inside and see if there is anything worth keeping.

ye i deleted it, nothing happened. i just thought 141gb was way too much for temp files so i was a little sceptical

If anything is in use, it will give a "could not delete" warning on what ever files, just OK "no delete" on those files.
