Can you tell a motherboard that supports core i5 2400 and a core i7 4 gen or above?

I have a Core i5 2400 3.1 GHz and I want to upgrade it. My motherboard is Asus P8H61-M LX2 Rev x.0x and RAM is Corsair ValueSelect DDR3 1600 C11 1x4GB. I know my processor and motherboard are old and I want to upgrade to a Core i7 like 4770k, 6700k, 7700k,etc. Can you tell me of a motherboard that supports my CPU as well as Core i7 CPUs which are 4 gen or above?

Your CPU supports LGA1155 socket and fourth generation i7 processor supports LGA1150. So you cannot buy a motherboard which supports both the CPU's. Its better to go for LGA1150 if you are looking for 4th gen Intel Processors.

i5-2400 is socket LGA1155,
i7-4770k is socket LGA1150,
i7-6700k, i7-7700k is socket LGA1151.
Each socket type requires a different motherboard. Combining sockets is not possible.
So there is no such motherboard that would support all those cpus.

Highest you can go to is a 3770k, you may need a BIOS update first.

Does that BIOS support Core i7 3770k? I haven't updated the BIOS since I got the computer.

Current BIOS version is 605, you have to update to version 3605.

Aaaaand how do I update my BIOS? Copy all the files in a USB and then boot it from the USB? Or just opening a setup.exe (if there is)?

I will upgrade my motherboard later because if I update my motherboard, I will need to upgrade my CPU, so for now I will just upgrade to a Core i7 3770k later.
