Hi!
Recently i swaped my i5 6600k for a i7 6700k. Worked great but when i went to check the temps, i noticed i was getting pretty high temps not only on the cpu (stock) but also in the motherboard (40° both in idle and insane 90° in game).
Voltage is wildly high pulsing from 1.3 to 1.4+ showing 4.2ghz all the time (turbo clock i asume) i'm running stock cooler, there's a deepcool assassin 2 on the way.
I get that the stock cooler cant handle an 6700k with good temps, but the high voltage and motherboard temps are super weird for me
my specs:
mobo: Asus Z170-E
CPU: i7 6700k STOCK
ram: 2x8gb hyperx DDR4 2133
gpu: gtx 1080 amp! 8gb
hd: 1tb barracuda
ssd: 120gb hyperx 400
cooler: stock for now
6600k was running like a leaf, no problems
