All other things being equal, which is likely to provide better file transfer speeds between wired PCs wirhin my home network?
1) Connecting all wired PCs to my Nighthawk AC1900 router
2) Connecting all PCs, and a router port to a gigabit switch, and only using the router for DHCP services and as the internet gateway.
Can the switches built into the router be slower then their off the shelf gigabit counterparts? Assume I don't need services like QoS from the router. I would however, use address reservation.
