I restored this old laptop with the exception of the display, I found it broken and I plan to just use this as a small desktop hooked up to external keyboard and mouse. I have the Apple Bluetooth Keyboard (2009) working right now, I'm typing this post with it even on the Windows 7 lap/desktop and it works fine. However when my system shuts down, like when I was having cooling issues when I first starting working on this system it wont connect like it should. Windows 7 doesnt seem to remember this keyboard was installed, Ive checked and the drivers are still there after a reboot but I have to re-pair the keyboard every single time I start it up. I don't know how much of a fix there is but its really frustrating especially since I have to keep a spare keyboard around simply to enter my password every day before I can re-pair this one. Thanks!

The system is an HP Pavilion tx 2000

Solution
That too will likely be because it's an old laptop.

You could try disabling the built-in BT adapter and buy a plug-in USB one.

Good luck, I have nothing else to say on this matter.

Yeah but even when I am logged into Windows I have to pair my keyboard all over again each time.
