Disk Activity error

when ever my pc hangs this kind of thing happens.

There is 0 MB/sec Disk I/0 but the disk activity is 100% just like what the pic states

my hard disk is
Seagate BarraCuda 7200 320gb

additional info i dont know if it helps
PC spec:
i5-3470
windows 7 64bit
8gb ram @1337
gtx 1050

uhm, how do i check for high disk usage in task manager of windows 7? i cant seem to find it
all i can see is cpu usage, process and memory

ah rats... i forgot win 7 doesn't have that

increase the size of the disk activity window in the pic you posted

sort the 'read' column with highest at the top, check what's running

then do the same for the 'write' column

this happens mostly when i try to play dota2, havent tried other games (dota2 is the only game installed) i do play emulators like psp and ps2 but this doesnt happen

cant test it on other games yeah but happens everytime i try to play a game or even watch a game in dota2

on system disk there is still 63.7gb out of 98.1gb
the disk where dota2 is 177gb out of 199gb

sorry for late post. it still happens disk still gets 0MB/sec Disk I/0 with 100% highest active time
