Hello there. :)

I am getting a few parts to upgrade my PC soon, but the RAM is starting to confuse me as all I ever see when I google it, is people saying what to do when OC'ing and tweaking stuff. My technical knowhow is not able to work with that. As in, I have no idea how those sort of things would work, and I'm likely to mess any tweaking up to a point where the PC would be bricked.

I'm getting the Ryzen 1700x, and have been recommended a MSI B350 Tomahawk, but what RAM to fit with, I have little idea.

I originally looked at some G.Skill Flare X Series 3200 2x8gb sticks, but if tweaking is needed to make it go to 3200, it seems less worth the cost, you know?

I'm not sure if it matters, but just in case, the PC is mainly for gaming, with some websites like Youtube running in the background. No atreaming.

No, it is very straightforward and you can find help on here for sure

EDIT: These are the speeds supported by the board that you mentioned 1866/ 2133/ 2400/ 2667(OC)/ 2933(OC)/ 3200(OC)+ Mhz

This means that the RAM will run (if capable) at 2400MHz if you just plug it in and go. All higher speeds, marked with OC, require an XMP profile to be enabled
