Hello guys,

I am trying to overclock my amd x4 B97 (basically x4 955 with lower TDP).
I am stuck at 3.5Ghz from original 3.2ghz stock.
Now what is happening that I think is the problem, is when I change FSB value it also overclocks my RAM.
So I need to change my FSB:DRAM ratio which is 3:10 right now, and my 1336 rated Ram is running at 1460mhz, which is highest stable frequency, pushing FBS any highr causes crashes.

Here is the problem: in my BIOS I dont see option to change FSB:DRAM ratio.
I Will post screenshots of my BIOS's ram and CPU related settings.

Can you guys guide me through, which one of theese I should be changing in order to get more than 3.5ghz, (Which am sure is possible on this chip and with my Noctua heatsink)

HERE are the BIOS pictures:

RAM slot3: http://prntscr.com/gftxzu

(note this OC is not stable, it was just a test)

Mobo manual:

Temperatures are not an Issue.
My CPU voltage cant seem to be changed and is running dynamically between 1.1-1.4V depending on load.

My full rig:

AMD x4 B97 (3.2ghz stock- 3.5Ghz now)
Medion MS 7646 mobo
Rx 460 2gb
Corsair cx 400W
8gb of missmatched DDR3 1336mhz RAM
Random HDD

If the options aren't there they aren't there. I doubt there's much you can do about it other than buy faster specced/more OC tolerant RAM.

Basically, while your board does technically support overclocking, its lack of detailed options will pretty much limit you to extremely mild overclocks. Options such as memory divider and voltage adjustment are present on most midrange+ overclocking motherboards for a reason. I'd imagine that even if you do get faster RAM, you'll soon be limited by the CPU's stock voltage anyway.

well, if you actually opened one of my provided screenshots you would see that I can increase FSB, therefore, OC the CPU and the RAM.
And in the mobo's manual it says that it supports overclocking.
