How can I safely mount a graphics card flat to a wooden board?

I have made a custom wooden PC case with proper ventilation and stuff. My motherboard is installed to the wooden board via brass standoffs and I made holes to screw in the hard drives. The PSU will be held in place with a velcro or cable ties until I can come up with a more permanent solution such as a custom wooden enclosure with proper mounting holes and vent holes - basically a wooden bracket to screw in the PSU which is also screwed into the wooden board. My only problem is how can I mount the graphics card to the board? I know people have done this cause I have seen several wall mounted PC's but they never say how they mount the graphics card to the board. I have a graphics card extension cable to lay it flat. Can I use some kind of screws and washers to raise the graphics card away from the board? What is the best method? Will the PCB of the graphics card get hot and overheat if it is zip tied directly onto the wooden board? What I cut a hole for the pcb to breath and install a piece of metal that has holes in it that I got from amazon? Would that suffice? Many thanks in advance!

The problem is that my graphics card only has one screw hole although the extension cable has two. Would that be enough to secure it in place if I make some kind of wooden piece to screw the metal GPU bracket from the card (the low profile graphics card bracket) onto?
Cheers!

Oh I was thinking you were gonna use some zip ties to hold it down as well, IMO thats by far the best bet. 1 screw with the bracket is not enough

I will use cable ties as well but I was worried that it would cause strain on the graphics card. I think screws might be easier. I was gonna get 3 long screws and space the graphics card away from the board with some washers. Would metal washers stop the graphics card from working or will it be fine? I have seen someone using it in a similar project though he made an aluminium frame to mount the PC to. Sadly I don't have those materials or skills. Only basic stuff. I have screws and washers though and a drill. I will probably just use the washer method for now and see if it works.
Many thanks for the help!

Thanks! I will get some plastic washers and use those instead.

There's a plastic washer kit on amazon which has a list of washers with M4 size included would that be 1/4 size like you said?
Here are the sizes they have:
Description:
Product Name: Gasket Seal Ring
Different Size of M2 M2.5 M3 M4 M5 M6 and M8
Material: nylon
Color: Black
Screws:
M2 50pcs
M2.5 50pcs
M3 50pcs
M4 50pcs
M5 50pcs
M6 50pcs
M8 50pcs
Total: 350pcs

Would any of those work? If so which one should I use? Thanks!
