Is nVidia GeForce GT 720 good for AMD Athlon Dual Core 5000B?

I plan on upgrading my graphics card, but I don't know if it works on these specs:

Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) Dual Core Processor 5000B, 2.60GHz
4GB Ram
System: x64-based PC
Motherboard: Hewlett-Packard
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

If it's not good, then feel free to say a recommended or the best graphics card (also to fit physically in the unit)
The budget is about 20-100$ or more.

Without knowing the exact motherboard model i cannot recommend any GPU. I also need to know the PSU you have, basically could you please post full system specs with all details. Also we don't know if a given GPU can fit without knowing which case you have.
Not sure which games you wanna play but don't expect to be able to play new AAA title on reasonable FPS with that system no matter which GPU you install.
