It's been about 2 or 3 years since I've upgraded my computer. Currently I have an MSI GTX 970 (might upgrade in a few months depending on performance after upgrade), i5 4690k, 8 gb of ram(stock cooler), MSI Intel Z97 LGA 1150 DDR3 USB 3.0 ATX Motherboard (Z97 PC Mate), and I think some thermaltake 650W 80 Plus Bronze power supply. I already purchased 2 sticks of G Skill Ripjaws ram and an MSI Z270 SLI Plus motherboard. I Thought I'd be able to use my old CPU so that's why I already got the motherboard. I've been looking at getting an i7 7700k. I currently do not have a CPU cooler other than the stock one. Do you have any suggestions on CPU coolers? I'd rather not get a liquid cooler since they can be quite expensive. Other than the cooler will I have any other problems?

The Scythe Mugen max is $37, which puts it in the same price category as the Hyper 212 and Cryorig H7. However its in the same performance category as the $90 Cryorig R1 and Noctua NH-D15 giving you extreme performance cooling at budget cooler prices.

The single fan Mugen Max is being replaced with the dual fan Scythe Fuma which is $8 more and sites are having trouble already keeping them in stock .... so if ya want the Max grab it while ya can. The Fuma equals or outperforms the same $90 coolers at half the price

$45 Scythe Fuma = 69C
$90 Noctua NH-D15 = 70C
$90 Cryorig R1 = 72C...
