Gpu NOT USED 100%

Hey guys. I notice my GPU's are never at 100% load when gaming. i wonder why this is. im getting good framerates like 80-100 fps in all games but i have a 1440P 144hz monitor so i want more frames.

I have 2 1070's at 2100Mhz and an i7 4790k at 4.6ghz. could the cpu be bottlenecking or is something else wrong?

What is your CPU usage at? There's a good chance it's SLI doing it as SLI is not very optimized in most games.

It's probably just lack of proper SLI support in said game. A 4790k may bottleneck two 1070's in some game as 1440p. What is cpu usage? I would say it's more than likely just the way sli was implemented in that game.

For BF4 my cpu usage is like 60% for all cores, and gpu at 80% for both cards. I am only using one normal sli bridge. could not having a high bandwith bridge be a problem?

If your running at high resolutions yeah the HB bridge probably is needed. But even if it doesn't fix anything, that's SLI for ya, it won't always be at 100% efficiency, especially now that nvidia is basically cutting SLI from most graphics cards.

HB bridge was the problem. i got one and frames are higher now and gpu's are being used nearly 100%
