Hi all,

I'm building my new rig tonight and at the point of putting the backplate on the mobo for the H60. It aligns with the holes after some adjustment but when I put the standoff screws in, there is way too much give. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? I don't want to continue with the build if this cooler is not compatible with this mobo. The cooler was advertised as fit for 115x sockets but I'm beginning to doubt that now.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Well, that seems to have done it! Thanks so much. This is my first water cooled build so I was really nervous about the block not sitting right on the CPU but it appears the backplate and the block work in tandem to tighten up. I'm used to backplates being snug on initial installation (air cooled). That link to the other thread helped alleviate my worries too so thanks for that.

Anyway, much appreciated. Best answer for you, sir! Cheers.
