Hi everyone. I've had my Pc for about a year now and this evening when I powered it up it kept getting stuck at the motherboards splash screen. So I decided to try clearing the cmos. I first tried to remove and re insert the cmos battery which did not help. Then I tried jumping it but when I was switching to the 2 & 3 pins I dropped it the plastic cover somewhere. Now when I try to power on there is no reaction to the power button. The lights still come on in the motherboard but fans and everything else don't power on. I'm tempted to just take my computer to some shop but I don't know any good ones and I'd rather not spend any money.

Specs : CPU: i7 4770k
MOBO : ASUS maximus IV Hero
GPU: gtx 1060

EDIT:I shorted the 2 and 3 pins which caused the power supply could and gpu fans to spin but the case fans don't turn on and there is no display. It shut itself off after a minute or two. Scratch that I've gotten the case fans on with another jump on 2 and 3 pins. (I'm using a screwdriver btw). Still no display.

EDIT 2: OK after shaking my computer around like a mad man I got the jumper cap to fall out of wherever it was. Yay! Now after inserting it the pc starts but then seems to restart and then the display appears which is just as it was in the beginning. Which is just the splash screen of the motherboard prompting to load the bios. It doesn't work though and the only thing that I can do is shut it off. Any ideas? My ram is kind of crap so it could be that. It's 1 stick of 8 gigs by ADATA.

FINAL EDIT: issue Is seemingly resolved. I removed all USB devices and it booted to a bios recovery. After inserting the keyboard onto the top USB port (back ones didn't seem to work) it recovered bios and started windows. I also disabled fast boot. Dunno if this did anything but it's worth a try. Well that was a ride of emotions. It's too bad nobody saw this thread but I hope this post help someone.
