im using a freesync monitor with nvidia graphics card here is my question

am i really getting the fps that is being displayed? for example if it says, 108fps is that what im really getting? i ask because im using a nvidia video card with a 144 hz freesync monitor. my video card is a gtx 1080.

Yes you are getting the fps displayed. Freesync reduces screen tearing without adding a load of input lag. Freesync only works with amd gpu's though.
