I'm building my first gaming PC and I'm wondering if there are any issues with this build or any ways it could be more optimal. (e.g. is an SSD worth it at this price or would the money be better spent elsewhere?, are there any obvious better value components?, etc.)

Thank you in advance!

Looks good. SSD is up to you. You could drop it and get a GTX 1060 3GB, which is much better than the 1050 Ti. You could also go with the G4560 instead of the G4600. But they're really close in price, so it's up to you. I swapped out everything and put in in this list just so you could see. But either way, the SSD would be really nice; and also the 1060 would be really nice. So it's a toss up to me. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

I appreciate it man. If I went with the build you suggested, would there be any issues with g4560 bottle necking the gtx 1060? I did some research and it seems that is towards the top end of what the g4560 can handle, but I may be misunderstanding. Also, would it be very difficult to add an ssd as the boot drive later on?

GTX 1060 is at the top end of what the G4560 can handle. Some CPU intensive games will see slight bottlenecking, but performance would still be better than a 1050 Ti. But since you mentioned an SSD, you could go with the 1050 Ti and an SSD.

Adding an SSD later would involve reinstalling the Operating System because you want your OS on your SSD. It's not too difficult. Worst part is re-downloading/reinstalling all your games.
