My tablet slowed down incredibly after a long period of disuse.

I've tried reformatting the device but it is still very slow compared to when it was first bought.
The length of disuse was almost or at least a year.
The device is an Astro Queo A912.

Maybe its the Android version. I have an older tablet that my little nephew uses with some flavor of 4 that is dog-slow.

As far as I can recall the performance of the tablet is super fine, I can play games on that thing really really well. today however the tablet struggles to open even as simple as the web browser.
