I am currently testing my new GTX 1080 Gigabyte Windforce 3 and i found that after 15 to 20 mins of running assassins creed unity maxed out at 1080p on out of the box clock speeds and my temperature shoots up to the range of 70 to 74 degrees. Is that a normal range for the gtx 1080?

System specs:
i7 7740x
16gm ddr4 ram
gtx 1080 wf3
700 watts psu

Solution
Yes that is normal. 80C is warm, 94C is max temp. Try to stay below 80C.

*You could set a custom fan profile to keep your temps down even further. There are several third-party programs that can do that, MSI Afterburner is a popular one.
