I have a dell latitude e5430 that I just purchased. right now it has regular 1.5v ddr3 in it and it works, but it actually calls for ddr3l 1.35v ram. anyways is the ddr3l dual voltage ram? I heard it was. and should it work fine in my dell? the cpu in it is a i5 3340m, and also it says that it should run 1600mhz ok. is that right.

Solution
DDR3L is a dual voltage capable memory, which supports operation at both 1.5V and 1.35V.
DDR3L is also pin-compatible with DDR3.
DDR3 is a single voltage capable memory which supports 1.5V operation only and if you insert DDR3L on it it would run at 1.5V.

Peace.
