Hi all! I got a deal for a Kingston HyperX 3k 480GB SSD for $100. Will I be wasting my money on an old generation SSD? Planning to get a new one, but the offer made me interested. Thoughts?

The Hyper X 3K (I have one, smaller) is potentially 5 years old.
You can get a new 525GB Crucial for $150.

For that price difference, I wouldn't.
