So my hard drive makes a clicking noise but boots up for a good few hours

So my hard drive boots up for a few hours but then it makes a clicking noise and then I get the blue screen of death I have not read a thread about this so wondering if anyone would know a fix, get back to me asap I know the clicking noise means the hard drives dead but it boots up? I'm wondering if it is dead. Because I have only had the hardrive for like 9 months it would make sense if it was like 4-5 years old but in this case it's semi new.

A "fix" for this is a new drive. 9 months, 5 years...no difference.
That drive is dying.

But since it is only 9 months old, you get a replacement for free.

Your hard drive is dying.
Replace it as soon as possible, if you do not want to lose all of the data on it.
There is no user fix for it.

Thank you so much, ugh to think there was a fix aswell well at least I can get a replacement. The good thing is it's not my main pc so it's okay but it needs that new hard drive for my brother. Anyways thank you for the advice.
