I'm looking to upgrade my Alienware R1 I purchased back in 2010. After 7 yrs its finally starting to struggle with game play.

I play Warcraft a lot and it struggles through raids and game play. I would like to upgrade my video card. I'm looking for something between $200-$400. I really like Nvida GTX models. Trying to get away from Radeon. I'm running two monitors but just gaming on one. I use the other to research as I play tabbing out. My current setup is.....

Overclocked Intel core I7 930QC 3.36GHz 8Mb watercooled

6 GB triple channel 1333 Mhz DDR 3

Dual Radeon HD 5670 Crossfire

500G 7200rpm 16MB Cache HDD

875w power supply

Windows 10

Let me know if anymore info is needed.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You would likely be well served by a GTX 1050 Ti or GTX 1060. Even at the level of the 1060, you processor is likely going to be holing it back so take that into consideration as well.

I guess you can always take it to your next build either way :D

EDIT: You could also look into upgrading your RAM, you can support up to 24GB triple-channel DDR3-1333

Thank you!
Got my eyes on
MSI GeForce GTX 1060 DirectX 12 GTX 1060 GAMING X 6G 6GB 192-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16
And
16 gigs of
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL
(1,350) along with the 6 gigs I have already.

Sounds sweet. DO be careful mixing RAM. If you have issues after installation that may be the reason.

I will remove the old and stick with the Ripjaws to be safe.
Again thank you.
