The question is simple. G4560 or A8 9600 for a budget gaming PC?

I saw the gaming Benchs and A8 is way better than G4560. Also is 20$ Cheaper

CPU wise the 4560 has better single thread performance as that A8 9600 is still based on an older architecture. The only reason the a8 scores better in gaming benches is it has a better igpu if you are using a dedicated gpu that advantage will disappear.

What are the rest of the systems specs going to be? Whats the budget for the rig?
Oh shoot, I misread the model number.

Disregarding my previous post:
If you are planning to do some more threaded tasks later on (even heavily threaded games such as ARMA or Battlefield) the AM4 platform would likely be kinder to you for a lower price. If, later on, you simply want the best IPC the pentium would be a solid choice.

In my (revised) opinion, I would personally rather take whatever would be cheaper in the long run, so probably the A8
