Best power supply for this computer I'm building? My "Corsair - CX 500W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply" won't power it despite being compatible on PCPartPicker. Already troubleshot the motherboard and cpu so it must be the power supply.

Gigabyte - GA-H170M-D3H Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Intel - Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor

What else do you need as far as specs go? Ram is "
G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) Intel Z170/X99 Desktop Memory F4-2400C15D-16GVR"

As for the extra power connector yes that is connected. The motherboard lights up and the CPU fan turns on but after a few seconds it will stop and then start again.

We tested it without the GPU that I want to use, just motherbourd, cpu, and power supply and occasionally RAM to see if not having that was the problem.

My GPU that I plan to install is a "geforce gtx 550 ti"

I also have "Asus 24x DVD-RW Serial-ATA Internal OEM Optical Drive DRW-24B1ST (Black)" and "WD Blue 1TB SATA 6 Gb/s 7200 RPM 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch Desktop Hard Drive" but they did not seem relevant since I can't even get the motherboard to be consistently on I haven't tried to hook them up.
