I am trying to connect an old Emachine, running Windows XP Svc Pack 2, to my laptop (I know, I'm nuts). My laptop connection is wireless, running off of a Netgear router WiFi extender w/Windows 10 OS. I have an ethernet connection from my laptop to the old pc and getting a great signal. In fact all systems are operating perfectly. I just can't connect to the internet from the Emachine. I have followed all of the instructions precisely, ran the troubleshooter on both machines, repaired the connection, all to no avail. I'm sorry if this question has already been asked and answered, I didn't see the post. And if it was, can someone kindly direct me to it? I'm almost ready to give up.
